Please introduce yourself.

My name is Deby Ganga, I’m 36 years old and of Hindu descent. My ancestors come from India. Since last October, I have been supporting the commercial department with a focus on Davis Europe, India and Asia. 

With what kind of products do you work?

Rather with all fruit and vegetable. For India, I work primarily with apples, pears, blueberries and avocados. 

What do you envision for your sales desk in the future?

The development of the sales desk Davis Global and for it to become successful. That we will be able to offer a tailored service to our overseas customers and supply them directly. So, short lines and reasonable prices. My ambition is to establish Davis India. I can’t wait to roll out Davis’ philosophy in India. 

What is the best thing about your job?

The commercial side, the dynamics, supplying people’s basic human need for food. We are constantly faced with supply and demand. I learn from my colleagues how to manage and react to this, which enhances my growth both in business and personal areas. Besides that, I also gain a great amount of knowledge about vegetables and fruit.

What do you add to the Davis family?

Diversity, and an addition to the hands-on mentality within the Davis Foodgroup. My financial background works in my favour in this sector: I can carry out analyses quickly. And, not entirely insignificant for doing business with India, I speak Hindi.

What is your favourite produce?

I prefer to work with all possible kinds of vegetables and fruit. Cliché, right?
